I’m trying to be very aware of any leaks because of session length etc – but after reviewing some big hands I guess I just ran very well the first 2/3 of this session and very bad the last 1/3. Still a pretty okay result.

Currently up 11BI in 2500 hands. That’s not great, but for a novice like me, that’s pretty good.

Have been two-tabling while working, resulting in a much lower VPIP & AF. It doesn’t look like it’s making me much more or much less profitable, but it is a matter of less variance, or so it seems. Obviously still a small sample…

Big upswing is a result of a small rush in which I was able to both catch some hands and valuetown 3 streets/overshove for value. One hand is this one right here…

I’m starting to get the hang of these 25nl games a little. Playing less OOP and trying not to play dominated hands OOP at all if possible is making life easier. Trying not to 3barrel for no reason is going out of the arsenal too.

Managed to book a solid session in which I pretty much never got totally killed even though I ran into a two-outer and a one-outer in literally ten seconds.

Trying another small session tomorrow, now: some sleep.

I am severely outclassed. I wanted to play my “normal” game and not be too nitty, but after this first session it’s obvious I’m a big dog in these games, and I will need to work on my game a lot to beat them. I ended up in the green but only after a big big downswing of over 10BI.

In about 500 hands (which was my goal for the day), that’s just sad.

Played badly, ran pretty bad at start but recovered a lot – and I can feel very not-confident about my game.

I’ve decided to go and play some microstakes cash games on PokerStars and will be reporting my results. Fingers crossed I can turn this into a “green operation”. I have close to zero online cash experience, but have had pretty solid live results. I’m assuming the .10/.25 cent games on PokerStars are tougher to beat than my regular live games, though.
